What we collect and why

Filling in the form collects three kinds of details:

• The content of the site you order: The business name, what it does, services, a city or area, the contact details you asked to show on the site, the address you asked for, the free text you wrote about yourselves, and every field you fill in at the optional "Want a richer page?" step: questions and answers, customer testimonials, a price list, opening hours, service areas, links and a booking link. The look preferences you chose live here too: a colour and character words.
• Private contact details: An email address, and a WhatsApp number if you chose to give one, together with your choice about being updated on WhatsApp.
• The consent record: The fact that you approved this notice, when you approved it, and the wording that was approved.

If you buy and ask for the included editing round, the images you upload and the text corrections you request are collected too.

The details serve three purposes only: building the preview of the site you asked for, contacting you about it, and completing a payment if you choose to buy.

In addition, to prevent abuse of the form, the server briefly holds the IP address the request was sent from. It is not stored with the details you gave and is not used for anything else.

You are under no legal duty to give the details; without them we cannot build the preview or contact you.

What is shown on your site

Everything you gave as site content is published on the site: that is what it was given for. It is published exactly as you wrote it, letter for letter, including the answers you wrote in the questions and answers and the testimonials you gave. We do not rewrite and do not correct what you gave us.

Your private contact details (the notification email and the WhatsApp number) are not published and do not appear on the site.

Testimonials: another person's details

When you give a testimonial, you give us words you attribute to another person, usually under their name. That person never approached us and gave us nothing, so it matters that you know exactly what happens to what you write.

We publish both halves, the quote and the name, exactly as you write them. We do not word a testimonial, do not translate it, do not edit it, do not verify it, and never approach your customer to ask for it. Nor does a testimonial serve us for anything else: it does not turn into a claim elsewhere on the page and does not enter any automatic wording of content.

Publishing is your act, and the right to publish is your responsibility. Before you fill in a testimonial, make sure the person named in it has given you permission to publish their words and their name.

Enquiries about content on a customer's site are directed to the site owner, who chose to publish it and is responsible for it. If you are the site owner and want a testimonial removed or changed, write to us at support@masad.io and we will handle it.

Storage and deletion

Your contact details and your consent pass through a secured intake pipe and are deleted from it within 30 days. Images you upload in the editing round pass through the same pipe and are deleted from it in the same 30 day window; an original image file may carry side data such as where the photo was taken, and the version published on the site is processed and clean of it.

The lead record is kept in an internal system in order to provide the service, and the site content you asked for is kept for as long as your site exists. You may ask to see, correct or delete it at any time by writing to the support address: support@masad.io.

Measurement on the site (analytics)

The site runs relatively anonymous usage measurement (pages viewed, taps) through a random identifier cookie, only in order to improve the site; continuing to browse is consent to it. No third-party advertising or marketing tags run on the site. You can switch the measurement off at any moment through "Cookie settings" at the foot of the page, and the choice is remembered.

Advertising and campaign measurement

In order to measure advertising campaigns we share usage data and hashed contact details with advertising platforms (Meta, for example). The sharing is done from our servers, and not through advertising tags loaded in the browser. Continuing to browse the site is consent to it, and you can opt out at any moment through "Cookie settings". An opt-out is remembered, honoured from then on, and stops the sharing.

Payment

Payment is made on a secured page of the payment provider; credit card details do not pass through our servers and we do not store them.

Updates to this notice

When we update this notice on a material matter, we will ask for your consent afresh: approval given to an earlier wording does not count for the new one, and consent to the advertising cookies will be asked for again. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
